Type your secret PIN digits on the calculator, then tap the = button. The vault opens. If you haven't set a PIN yet, tap = on first launch and follow the setup screen.

On first launch, tap = with no digits entered. A setup screen will guide you through creating your vault PIN. Choose a number sequence you'll remember — it's the only way to open your vault. Your PIN is stored in iOS Keychain and is never sent anywhere.

That's by design — the calculator is the disguise. Type your PIN digits (e.g. 1 2 3 4) then tap =. The vault opens. To everyone else, it looks like you're just using a calculator.

Inside the vault, tap the gear icon → Settings → Security → toggle Face ID on. Face ID unlock is available on Pro and Ultimate plans. Once enabled, a biometric icon appears on the calculator screen for quick access.

Inside the vault, go to the Vault tab → tap any folder (or All Media) → tap the + icon in the top right → Choose from Library. Select your photos or videos and they'll be imported. You can also take photos directly from the vault using the camera option — they're never saved to your camera roll.

Try these steps:

1. Go to Settings → Privacy → Photos and make sure Calc+ Vault has Full Access (not Limited).
2. If photos are stored in iCloud and not downloaded, enable "Download and Keep Originals" in iOS Photos settings first.
3. Restart the app and try again.

Yes. Go to Settings → Import → Delete After Import and toggle it on. After each import, iOS will ask for confirmation before removing the originals from your Photos library. Nothing is deleted without your approval.

Tap any photo to open it full-screen, then tap the download arrow (↓) in the toolbar. For multiple items, tap Select → choose items → tap Export.

Go to the Messages tab → tap Get Started → enter your real phone number to verify it. Once verified, you'll receive a private number you can use to send messages and make calls. Your real number is never shared with contacts. Requires Pro or Ultimate plan.

Two types of messaging are available:

In-app encrypted messages — other Calc+ Vault users. End-to-end encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Requires Pro plan.

SMS to any number — send a one-time encrypted message to any phone number as an SMS link. The recipient reads it in Safari — no app required. Requires Ultimate plan.

Two types of calls are available:

Encrypted VoIP calls — peer-to-peer audio calls between Calc+ Vault users. No carrier involved. Requires Pro plan.

PSTN calls — call any real phone number. Your caller ID shows as a private number, not your real number. Pro includes 30 min/month; Ultimate includes 120 min/month.

Go to Settings → Messaging → Message Notifications and ensure the toggle is on. Also check iOS Settings → Notifications → Calc+ Vault and allow notifications. Notifications show a generic alert with no message content visible on the lock screen.

If you still have access to your device, try variations of your PIN — the vault will shake on wrong attempts. If you have an encrypted backup (.calcvault file), you can restore to a new device using the same PIN you used when backing up.

The Decoy PIN is a second PIN that opens a completely empty vault. Use it if someone pressures you to unlock the app — they'll see nothing. Your real vault remains untouched and hidden. Set it up in Settings → Decoy PIN. Requires Pro plan.

Each time someone enters a wrong PIN, the app silently takes a front-camera photo and records the time and attempt number. View these photos in Settings → Security → Intruder Log. Photos are stored encrypted inside your vault and are never uploaded anywhere.

Go to Settings → Danger Zone → Clear Vault. This permanently deletes all photos, videos, notes, documents, and contacts. Your PIN is not affected. This action cannot be undone — make sure you have a backup first if needed.

The app always shows the calculator in the app switcher — never vault content. When you leave the app, a calculator overlay is applied before iOS captures the screenshot for the app switcher. Your vault content is never visible to a bystander.

The free tier includes: up to 20 photos & videos, 3 notes, 5 contacts, 5 documents, the private browser, and the full calculator disguise. No subscription required.

Go to Settings → Subscription → Manage, or go directly to iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Calc+ Vault. All billing is handled by Apple — we never store your payment information.

Go to Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. If that doesn't work, sign out of your Apple ID and sign back in, then restore again. If the issue persists, email support@cloudstrategy.ai with your Apple ID email (not your password).

Go to Settings → Beta Access → Redeem Beta Code and enter your code. Beta codes grant Pro or Ultimate access without an App Store subscription. The code is case-insensitive.
